I eat pretty healthily overall but wasn’t seeing the results of my hard work as much as I’d have liked. I reached out to Allison for help. Since I have a history of disordered eating, I was nervous to get into tracking and measuring again since that can be a trigger. Hi! I'm Allison!

If you had told my younger self that one day I’d love vegetables, I would have laughed in your face.

I grew up hating anything green and surviving mostly on cereal, sweets, and fast food whenever I could get my hands on it. Cooking? Not a thing. A balanced, nutrient-dense meal? I couldn’t even bake chicken, much less figure out how to create a balanced meal.  And, I still believed that to be fit, I just needed to eat less.

Like so many women, I fell for the myth that getting lean and strong meant starving myself. I’d see muscular women in magazines and assume they got that way by eating nothing but boiled chicken and steamed broccoli. And let’s be real—I wanted no part of that.

But here’s the kicker: I was so wrong.

Through years of education—earning my Bachelor’s in Exercise Science, Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and multiple nutrition certifications—I learned the real science behind fueling my body. 

And when I took my knowledge to the next level by prepping for a bodybuilding competition, I finally experienced how eating more (and eating well) could completely transform not just my physique, but my energy, confidence, and strength.

That realization changed everything for me. And it’s why I created Live Real Fit—for women who want to lose fat, feel strong, and actually enjoy their food.
