How to Set Up Your Squat Rack Like a Pro

After reading last weeks post, you know that squatting is not only a safe exercise but likely necessary.  Performing deep squats can help keep you moving well, injury free and healthy well into your later years.  That being said, squats are only beneficial to you if you are setting up and performing them correctly.  This week I wanted to go over some of the basics on how to properly set up your squat rack and prepare for performing your squat.

 

Watch this short video on how to set up your squat rack, how high to set the bar, where to place it on your back, how to step away from the rack to perform your squat and how to re-rack the bar.  Once you watch this you’ll feel confident and ready to get under the bar and start working on those squats!
